FAQ

Common questions from mentors

Is OnCourse Mentors available in my area? +
We’re onboarding mentors in the Greater Philadelphia area first so your mentees are close enough to play a real round, not a Zoom call. Based outside the area? Join the mentor waitlist and we’ll reach out the moment we expand to your region.
Is it really free for mentors? +
Yes — no subscription, and your greens fees are always covered by the mentee. The only exception is a $60 no-show fee if you accept a tee time and don’t show up. This protects the mentee, who has already paid for both rounds of golf.
How much time does it take? +
A round of golf takes about four hours. You set your own availability, so you play only when it works for you. There’s no minimum commitment.
What if I’m not a great golfer? +
That’s perfectly fine. OnCourse is about mentorship, not your handicap. Mentees are here for your career experience, not your short game.
What kinds of mentees will I meet? +
Early-career professionals, career changers, and motivated individuals looking for guidance in your industry. You can review each mentee’s profile before accepting a request.
Can I choose which requests to accept? +
Absolutely. You see each mentee’s profile, goals, and preferred time before deciding. You’re never obligated to accept.
What happens if a mentee no-shows? +
The mentee bears the cost of the missed round since they already paid for it. You’ll have a confirmed tee time and a reservation number — call the course the day of to confirm the reservation is still good. If they don’t show, you still get a free round of golf.
